ok. did that . I got an internet explorer script error. Details below

First error
-----------------------------

" An error has occurred on the script on this page
Line : 43
Char : 4
Error : Expected identifier, string or number
Code : 0
URL : http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=MMM
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page"
there are YES / NO buttons below

When I click YES, the second error comes up at a different line

Second error
-----------------------------

" An error has occurred on the script on this page
Line : 113
Char : 4
Error : "ll_js" is undefined
Code : 0
URL : http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=MMM
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page"
there are YES / NO buttons below

When I click YES (to the second error as well) the web query appears,
with an IMPORT / CANCEL button

When I click "import", I get an XL sheet that I have uploaded to the
group files section at

The add-in access to web pages doesn't create or modify cookies, just read
them. So if a site needs to have a cookie created or modified, it needs to
be visited either by IE or via the EXCEL Web Query Dialog. By the way, you
didn't need to do an "Import". Just visit the web page. So you could have
canceled out of the web query after opening the web page.

But this is the result I was hoping for and why I wanted you to open up the
web page.

Great.

Re: RCHGetElementnumber: result all are undefined

I'm using excel 2010 on both my laptop and my desktop. I downloaded the add in on my desktop (all my work was originally done on the laptop, and i want to be able to use both) I then saved the file as directed with the elements in the same directory. First I received the NAME error which I resolved by deleting extra coding as suggested, but then I received the undefined error. As far as I can tell all of the external element definitions are saved in the same area, but I can't get past this error. Any more suggestions?

The element definitions were there BEFORE you tried to use them? Placing
them in the directory afterwards will not fix the "undefined" unless you
exit and restart EXCEL (or use the smfForceRecalculation macro), because
they typically are only loaded once.

Otherwise, if all files were in the SMF folder when you started EXCEL, I am
at a loss to explain why you are getting undefined for all elements.

What do you get with:

=RCHGetElementNumber("Version")
