I don't think it's the code. The #value can mean that the data doesn't match the format, meaning that the text being pulled down doesn't match the number format. I can use the same URL and change the parameter to pull a number and it works. There must be a global Excel setting that doesn't like it pulling text data.

I am using Windows 7 64-bit, and the files seem to work fine.

I just initiated a new computer with Windows 7, and downloaded the files
and got the SMF routines to work after I "installed" the add-in into my
excel spreadsheet. Hence the problem is not WIN 7.
