I unblocked all the files in the Add-In dir and fixed a link error, and it
works perfectly! Thanks for your unending help!!

Hello Thomas,

Could you please elaborate as how to "unblock all of the files in the Add-in" ? I have the same issue, but I can't find the "unblock" option on Properties, and General Tab. Thank you!

He had picture of it. But it may depend on your operating system. My old
machine had Vista, and I don't think it existed there.

I'm on a Dell Laptop using Windows 10

1) Go to the Add-In dir (C:\SMF Add-In)
2) Right click on RCH_Stock_Market_Functions.xla
3) Select Properties
4) If the doc is blocked, then in the lower right hand corner of the
properties box, you will see a small check next to "Unblock" (similar to
Hidden or Read-only). Check the box.
5) Once you check the box and select Apply or OK, it will disappear and the
file should be unblocked.

Below is an image of the properties pop-up for the file and it is now
Unblocked. The checkbox and word "Unblocked" has disappeared.

Is there a list of number codes for smfGetYahooPortfolioView? Looking specifically for Symbol Name; i.e Home Depot for symbol HD. I am able to create an array of 24 stocks that I track, so I can pick name off the array if that's the only way. (Are the columns headings in the array given anywhere?)

thanks

Hi Randy,
Sorry if this topic had been address, but for some reasons, these 2 codes no longer work on my spreadsheet:

RCHGetYahooQuotes(TICKER,"L1")

RCHGetYahooQuotes(TICKER,"d1")

Could you please advise as what I need to do to get the last quote and date?

Much appreciated!

Tim

Check recent entries on the announcements blog:

https://smf-add-in.blogspot.com/

On 10/31, Yahoo dropped the API that fed that function, so it's dead.
You'll need to use smfGetYahooPortfolioView() now. That function should be
array-entered over a range, to gather all of your necessary quotes data in
one shot.

Does smfGetYahooPortfolioView() give LastTradeDate and/or LastTradeTime? I have the Version dated 11.11.2017, but gives only blank dates & time.

Thx

Check the list of fields on the second tab of the example worksheet. There
are a number of choices available. I've been using #87.

I've tried them all, still only gives "--" only.

Also, if I have a list of stocks and if 1 or more of them are no longer traded, why doesn't smfGetYahooPortfolioView put a placeholder of 0 there instead of skipping rows, which then screws up everything else after?

It should match up output line to input ticker symbol with 2017.11.11.

What do you get with:

=RCHGetElementNumber("Version")
=smfGetYahooPortfolioView("MMM","15")
=RCHGetWebData("
https://query1.finance.yahoo.com/v7/finance/quote?fields=regularMarketPrice&formatted=false&symbols=MMM
","regularMarketPrice")
