Has anyone been having a problem with data retrieval from smfGetBarchartPortfolioView?  When I run smfGetBarchartPortfolioView-Example the header fields seem to be rendering exactly as expected but the rest of the array data is all blank --, making me think it could be an issue/change with Barchart and not necessarily the smf function.
Amazing work on these new enhancements, Randy - thanks!

Deleting None in the first symbol cell worked for me. After I did that the spreadsheet wrked perfectly.

Randy,

I seem to be having trouble getting the RCHGetTablecell Function to lookup a table for me on yCharts.

I am looking for the EV/EBITDA of AAPL, currently 12.03 on the top of the table below.
I am using: =RCHGetTableCell("https://ycharts.com/companies/AAPL/ev_ebitda",1,"Data for this Date Range") but it pulls up "" 2 and 3 are an error.
Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong here? I bolded the font I am interested in below.
Thanks.

YCharts was unexpectedly offline for a couple of hours this
morning.
It would help to check "health" of the website you are accessing
before dropping another problem in Randy's lap. At some point
here he is going to blow a breaker.

Hi George,

Thank you for your patience as we migrated over to our back-up
database. YCharts website is now back up and running after a
brief outage casued by an issue with an upstream service
provider.

We'll continue to monitor systems and provide updates if anything
changes but expect a seamless experience from here. Again, we
would like to apologize for any inconveniences caused and thank
you for your business.

Best,

The YCharts Team

You're getting a blank because that's what is in the cell immediately
following

"Data for this Date Range". And using a 2 or 3 will cause an error because
there is only one more table cell on that row (hitting the end of a table
row stops the search for more table cells).

Try either:

=RCHGetTableCell($E$5,2,"Data for this Date Range","<tr")
=smfGetTagContent($E$5,"td",3,"Data for this Date Range",,,,1)

Thanks for including the source code. Since the data you're after requires
a login, I wouldn't have been able to view it or access it anyway. However,
I was able to throw the source code you sent into a temporary web page and
try extracting it from there.

I know he is very busy and normally figure this stuff out myself. However I am considering signing up for the yChart service and need to know if I can extract data from the site afterwards. I am on a trial week now.

I added 1 to PRows and that pulls up the date Nov. 14, 2017. I then added a 2 to PCells and the it says Upgrade which is what I feared instead of 12.03

I have Internet Explorer load a new page with every visit. I signed into yCharts from Internet Explorer so that is good. I deleted all history etc... I restarted Internet Explorer and Excel.

Not sure what else I can do to get past the upgrade result problem. Its not the Database.

Maybe I'll save the money and not signup if I can't extract the data.

Thanks for the reply Randy. Your two formulas and my new one all say "Upgrade". Its blocking the data somehow and I don't think we can get around it. I thought it would work during the one week trial but maybe not.

The last thing I want to do is waste money if I cant extract data. I like the site but only if I can download into Excel. They charge BIG $ to do that with their add in unfortunately.

I'd pay just for web access but only if your add in would work. It may not be worth the trouble.

Thanks for the reply.

You do have to create the IE security cookie to allow EXCEL and the add-in
to have access to the data.

Use the EXCEL IE object (alt+d+d+w) and log in to the web site to create
the security cookie. Then do an smfForceRecalculation and try again.

That particular data item is available from Yahoo and GuruFocus.

Randy you are a computer genius. That fixed the problem. I would have spent hours trying and still not figured that one out. Thank you.

PS. I know EV/EBITDA is available on Yahoo and GuruFocus but I was just using that as a test for all the other data points that are not. I also create backup if statements in case Yahoo does not work.

Help once again...

url. "http://www.indexmundi.com/energy/?country=ve&product=oil&graph=production http://www.indexmundi.com/energy/?country=ve&product=oil&graph=production"

current cell content copied down in array gets me on nly the year column.

=RCHGetHTMLTable("http://www.indexmundi.com/energy/?country=ve&product=oil&graph=production","chemical content",1)

Would like all three columns.

Thank you very much.

If you want to get three columns of data, you need to array-enter the
formula across three columns.
