Anyone else have problem download data for yesterday's (3/20/2014) closing prices for stocks, MFs and ETFs?
I only got the closing prices for 3/19/2014. I looked at the historical prices (ie. F) and starts from 3/19/2014 and earlier. The 3/20/2014 date was not listed. Has Yahoo changed their formatting of historical prices anyone know?

Same here:
very simply,
=RchGetyahooHistory("vfinx",2014,3,19,2014,3,19,"d","A",0) gives 172.24 (as expected)
but
=RchGetyahooHistory("vfinx",2014,3,20,2014,3,20,"d","A",0) gives no result.
I've been using this function for years and have never encountered this behavior before...

The website is also showing all historic data ending at March 19th ... very odd

The historical data server was down all morning yesterday, and there are apparently still issues though the server is at least serving one day old data. This is odd since the previous close on their quotes page seems to be accurate.

Thanks, I'm going to give it a try.
We'll see how many of the high yield dividend stock they have in their list.
I'm pretty sure they only have split information for those stock in that have key statistics.
Thanks again for your help.

Anyone know of a great site for stock split information?
Because, I am now totally confused as to which site to use for stock split history.
I am attaching a spreadsheet showing the results. It uses FTR in the comparison
Because it has the largest difference.
I tried Morningstar, Yahoo, Getsplithistory and splithistory and no 2 sites agree on symbol FTR.
Not only does the number of split differ but the dates don't agree either.
Could be worse, I guess. I tested 166 symbols with Getsplithistory and Yahoo.
These symbols did not agree on number of splits.

It's not working because the data isn't in Yahoo. As example, see history on their website for MMM (or IBM or ...):
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=MMM+Historical+Prices http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=MMM+Historical+Prices
You can try complaining to Yahoo about the bad data, but, I've been mystified about how to get results from doing that.

Is there anyway to get these into xls from the stockcharts.com site? I know there is an earlier comment that 1513-15 are obsolete but is that still the case. Thanks for any help from anybody.

StockCharts used to have a "text" option for the P&F Charts. When they
removed that option, those elements were obsoleted because there was no
longer any way for the add-in to extract the data -- they're only presented
in an image now.

Would placing a mouse-over chart into a cell help you get to what you want to accomplish? Example: =IF(RC2<>"",RCHCreateComment(RC2,2,400,400,,,,,,"PnF"),"")
(RC2 is the cell which contains the ticker symbol.)
Once you have the formula entered, you can then mouse-over the cell to see the chart. I have noticed, however, that StockCharts does not always identify the PnF chart patterns the same way that I have been taught to recognize them, so I ignore their chart pattern information.
