I'm experiencing a very peculiar phenomenon. I enter "ACN" into a spreadsheet cell (to get information about Accenture), and when I then press [Enter], the "ACN" is converted to "CAN". This happens in Excel 2003 and 2013 spreadsheets, even new "blank? sheets. Does anyone know why this is happening?

It's Excel's auto-correct for spelling.

See: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/turn-automatic-corrections-on-or-off-HP005201718.aspx http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/turn-automatic-corrections-on-or-off-HP005201718.aspx

Hello,

Sounds like spell check is auto correcting it to me. Check your setting for spell check.

Thanks,
david
