Giving the link is okay. It means that some other members can go and have a look and evaluate it and maybe give you other links that are more suitable to your problem.

I think more info on your problem is needed though...

1) How is your data arranged on your excel sheets/Workbook?

on different sheets?

Sheet1
Group1 Data

Sheet2
Group2 Data

Sheet3
Group3 Data

... On the same sheet?

...in "sets"...

group1
Data

group2
data

group3
Data

...etc

...or in columns...

Gp1 Gp2 Gp3 etc
Data Data Data

...or in rows...

gp1 Data
gp2 Data
gp3 Data
etc

.. Or in some other way?

2) Where does the data have to go?

... To different Excel workbooks?
... To .TXT/.CSV files?

3) Do you want to seperate the data womanually?<hehehe> ... Or use "Automation".. aka VBA?

Hello Everyone!
am new to this group. I love ms word and ms publisher, but I have a hard time
ith understanding Excel. I have the 2007 version on my computer. I started a
ob that requires using Excel, and unfortunately I have to learn how to use it
n my own. One of the first things I need to do is:
have a file that has information on 6 groups. What I want to do is separate
hese groups into their own separate file. I have no idea how to do this. I
ound a website that gives tutorial on Excel, but am not sure if it is a good
ne. I won't give the name or link as I don't know if it's OK with the
oderator.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
