My brother uses some of the files I send him with the add-in, and he recently told me he was having trouble that sounds similar to your issue. He eventually discovered that the problem only occurred if he had his Chrome browser open. Probably a long shot, but if you happen to use Chrome and have it open, try closing it. For what it's worth, I also use Chrome, and do not have the issue.

Specifically when a cell(s) are selected and ctrl-c is typed, the normal dashed, blinking outline is not present and pasting to another cell(s) will only paste either text or unicode text. After this happens, the only way I have found to recover is to reinstall EXCEL using the repair option. (Really getting tired of doing this, as you can imagine. I use the smf-AddIn a lot.) This may be an EXCEL problem, but I don't know how to isolate it and haven't found any clues using Google.

I had a similar problem. It is a known issue and, believe it or not, has to
do with a Skype browser add-in. Microsoft is aware of the issue. To fix it,
I removed the add-in from Chrome, IE and Firefox and the problem went away.

Use the RCHGetYahooHistory() function. It can return either daily or weekly data, and is how the front page example was created.

I am sure someone had asked this question before, but I could not find the answer for this code:

Could you show me how to get daily and weekly closing prices for a particular stock? I would like to go back really far: say 400 daily prices and 400 weekly prices, using either Yahoo or MSN prices.

Is this possible, Randy? Thanks so much!

In the function documentation, found in the "Documentation" folder of the
files area of the group.

I typically use the smfPricesByDates() function for that type of thing.

How can I access a stock's price as of a given date.

Actually, I want a couple of columns in my excel worksheet that gives the performance over the last 30 days, the last 60 days, ....etc.

Can you help me with this. Thanks, David
