Hello Randy,

My version:

Stock Market Functions add-in, Version 2.1.2014.01.30 (C:\Program Files\SMF Add-In; ; 1)

My smfgetyahoouotes is not working? =RCHGetYahooQuotes(B4:B203,C2:V2,,NOW())

I was wondering if it is the yahoo servers or my current smfaddin version or something else?

Smfgetyahooquotes has always been working so I am un-sure what to do?

Randy, Pls advise, is it just the yahoo servers today or is it my version or something else.

Thank You.

I just tried the SMF-Template-RCHGetYahooQuotes.xls template from the web
site and it's working fine for me.

Make sure your Internet Options are set up to always get a fresh copy of
the web page, and then run the smfForceRecalculation macro. Hopefully, it
was just a temporary glitch from Yahoo....

Hi Randy,

This rchgetyahooquotes has always worked for me without any glitches, so, like you I hope this is temporary? I will keep my fingers crossed.

1. do you mean hit F9 or something else, for the smfForceRecalculation macro?

2. Internet Options are set up to always get a fresh copy of the web page.

I am using Windows 8.1, and Internet Explorer 11.

I looked under I.E. Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced - > Browsing -> there is no check box for fresh copy of web page. But I have never had a problem until this morning and I have used your smf-template-rchgetyahooquotes.xls about every 2 days without any problems or glitches.

Randy, pls tell me how to do the smfForceRecalculation - I will then do it.

Thank You.

I have switched from smfgetYAHOOquotes to smfgetGOOGLEquotes
1) closer to real time
2) response seems faster
3) provides PUT options for the current month
As of today, 8/10/15, the AUGUST ones work, the OCT & JAN puts are
returning "Error")

Same here. It has been working fine but not until this morning. Tried smfFixLinks yet it won't work. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

My version is:
Stock Market Functions add-in, Version 2.1.2015.03.05 (C:\SMF; ; Local; 60)

Randy,

How do I "Make sure your Internet Options are set up to always get a fresh copy of the web page"?

Thanks in advance.

For smfForceRecalculation, see the "Tips and FAQs" web page. There's a link
there to a write-up on the macro.

F9 doesn 't update all functions, so I never use it with SMF workbooks.

I'm getting this same problem, after years of no problems. I think something in Yahoo has changed.

I'm using the formula =rchgetyahooquotes("RSP","d1")

Going into the VBA code, this is looking for the url:
http://download.finance.yahoo.com/d/quotes.csv?s=rsp&f=d1&e=.ignore http://download.finance.yahoo.com/d/quotes.csv?s=rsp&f=d1&e=.ignore

As of right now, this url does not work.

What is the formula returning?

The url is returning code 400 and the code is going to the errorexit. The function returns the variable verror, which is set to "N/A"

Also having issues. Tried =rchgetyahooquotes("SPY") & it returns ERROR

Hi Randy,

Now, like Jimexstock, using your template for smfgetyahooquotes, I too get an "ERROR" message instead of just blank?

I just clicked on the URL you cited below, and it worked fine for me.

If you go to the summary page for RSP:

http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=RSP

...what URL do you see for the "Download Data (delayed)" link toward the
right bottom of the web page? Does that link open up as a CSV file in EXCEL
for you? I see:

http://download.finance.yahoo.com/d/quotes.csv?s=RSP&f=sl1d1t1c1ohgv&e=.csv

...which more or less matches the link you have below. And, like I've said
on other messages, everything is working fine for me here.
