Randy,

I am having trouble downloading from Fred. It has worked since the change last year, then stopped working this month. Here is what I am using as an array:

=smfGetCSVFile(https://fred.stlouisfed.org/data/RRSFS.csv https://fred.stlouisfed.org/data/RRSFS.csv)
Any thoughts? Thanks!

It looks like they've changed the URL to:

https://fred.stlouisfed.org/graph/fredgraph.csv?mode=fred&id=RRSFS

petekoch & Randy,

Many thanks. Seeing the underlying code structured to get to key fields closes of data gaps I have and is a big time saver.

petekoch - I have a couple of analytical approaches regarding looking for short term CEF valuation inefficiencies normalized to the sector and benchmarked to underlying index movements. If yourself, glad to talk you through them in a conversation sometime as a bit of a thank you.

Has anything chamged since last week with accessing IBD Stock Checkup with SMF? I'm getting all "Error" cells for the template. Has IBD changed its url or format?

Thanks, Gerry

I just tried a few templates from the web site, and all of them appeared to
work OK for me.

Are you sure you're logged in to the site with IE, so the security cookie
is in place?

I agree.

I rolled my system back to a good check point, came in through IE, tried the template, and it works fine. Looks like some other install affected Excel and/or the SMF functionality

Thanks,

Gerry
