More generally, how could I obtain closing prices by dates of any equity on other foreign exchanges? If only a few foreign exchanges are accessible, what would they be?

Any equities that have historical data on Yahoo should be accessible. For
example, RY.TO.

You should be able to use RCHGetYahooHistory() or smfPricesByDates() to
access the historical data from Yahoo.

You may be able to extract data from other web pages, for other foreign
equities as well. The specifics would depend on how each web site presents
the data. Note that different data sources may use different ticker symbols
for the same company.

Unfortunately, I have no access to EXCEL in the near future...
