Thanks for updating the elements-2 for Yahoo.


I noticed element numbers 609-612 are coming up with an error as it looks like it is now defined as CURRENT YEAR versus THIS YEAR. I changed them in my elements-2 files and they now work.

You consider it annoying that yahoo keeps their site up to date.

Its free, don't complain, especially to yahoo.

Just think how they feel that we are all extracting their data free.

It's kind of annoying that Yahoo!'s profile data, e.g., https://query1.finance.yahoo.com/v10/finance/quoteSummary/AAPL?modules=assetProfile , does not contain the company name. It usually appears in the business description, but extracting the company name from that would be a pain. Yes, company name can be found with other queries, but it would be nice to get it with the same query that gets other things from the profile.

Yep, Yahoo history is dead. This presents a major problem for me -- I have a lot of live trades on. I think it was working yesterday, or Saturday for sure. I hope this gets fixed! The only workaround I can think of is extremely cumbersome.

Yahoo has changed something subtle. The function RCHgetyahoohistory uses the url
http://ichart.finance.yahoo.com/table.csv?s=IBM&a=7&b=17&c=2015&d=3&e=17&f=2017&g=d&ignore=.csv http://ichart.finance.yahoo.com/table.csv?s=IBM&a=7&b=17&c=2015&d=3&e=17&f=2017&g=d&ignore=.csv



to get data for IBM. If I plug that url into my browser, I do get a csv file returned. But it doesn't work for the function.


I will continue to investigate

Just tried: =smfPricesByDates(B7,DATE(Yr,Mo,Da)) as an alternative to RCH GetYahooHistory and it is returning #N/A.

Looking at smfPricesByDates I see it invokes RCHGetYahooHistory to extract prices for the specified dates. So, smfPricesByDates is not a viable alternative.

smfPricesByDates("SPY", TODAY()) returns #N/A

These started to happen since yesterday.
