Hi Randy,
Hope you are well. Looks like you've been extremely busy. Your efforts do not go unnoticed.

Any way, for ETF dividend ex-date and pay date and amount, is there an easy way to extract this info from Nasdaq? I'm not quite sure how to get the table data.
Example: http://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/vgt/dividend-history http://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/vgt/dividend-history?symbol=VGT&selected=VGT
I know you have formulas for Morningstar http://performance.morningstar.com/Performance/stock/dividend-history.action?y=50&t=VGT http://performance.morningstar.com/Performance/stock/dividend-history.action?y=50&t=VGT but Nasdaq is more up to date.

Thanks again for the great work that you do.

Try something like:

=RCHGetTableCell("http://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/
"&$C3&"/dividend-history",D$2,">Ex/Eff","<tr")

...where $C3 has your ticker symbol, and D$2 has the column you want (i.e.
1 thru 6).

Thank you for update, Randy!
Chaos created by Yahoo led me to quotes at Google Finance. I found that their data are often incorrect (e.g 52 week low/high). So I'd stay with Yahoo & SMF.

Ok, fixed it.

With the new version, I moved the smf directory. This broke the
array formula.
I had to reenter the array formula.
Thanks for verifying things on your side.

I think I am going to reinstall Excel and see if that works. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. I will let you guys know if that fixes it. Thanks for your assistance.

Gary

That might have to do with Microsoft OneDrive. Not related to the SMF addin.

Connecting to d.docs.live.net error

Randy,

When I am using the latest RCH add in, I am getting a request to log into d.docs.live. net. I have not received this log in request in the past. Has something changed or am I missing something? This may be coincidence but I recently re installed Windows 10 on my PC and also Excel 365 so not sure if I broke something by doing this.

I greatly appreciate any assistance.

Thanks,
Gary

I can't think of a reason for that to come up. Never heard of it before. If
I use it in my browser, it says it doesn't exist.

What are you doing when you get the request to log in?

I currently use EXCEL 365 under Windows 10...

I'm sure this is something silly, but I haven't been able to get SMF to pull data anymore.

The latest XLA / SMF files are pulled in, but all my formulas (I use RCHGetYahooHistory primarily) are broken.

I have done RCHGetElement("Version") and I see it working (shows version 2.1, 5 / 3 / 2017, Windows NT 32 bit, etc). I'm running on a Virtual Box Windows 7 machine running within a MAC. I have had this configuration for 4 years or so and all has been well. Sometime in the last month I have had an issue where my formulas just return nothing.

Example: "=RCHGetYahooHistory(B21,0,0,0,0,0,0,,"A",0)"

B21 is just a ticker reference.

Now all the cells are blank.

Any help?

Ben

PS - firewall disabled, XLA security for Excel is cleared...

Yahoo revamped their historical quotes last month. Significantly. You need
the new *beta* version of the add-in to get them. See:

Thank you Randy.
I use SMF only once each quarter, so I guess I missed that change. Thanks for the great support.

Been using this for >10 years.

If you haven't noticed it, Yahoo historical quotes are still a mess for
splits and dividends. This item by the AmiBroker/AmiQuote author talks
about the issues:

http://www.amibroker.com/kb/2017/06/30/wrong-close-price-in-yahoo-data/

I think I can adjust the code for the add-in, but it doesn't mean a thing
if Yahoo makes another change to fix the current mess. So I'm hesitant to
make a change.
