I found a major issue with Open End Funds this weekend. First, I found that I was unable to download complete history for June for VBINX, Vanguard Balanced Index Fund. The history for June 30 was missing late Friday evening and has yet to be posted as of Sunday morning. A bit of checking showed this is true for all of the OEFs I checked.
I programmed around that problem by pulling a real-time quote, checking to see if the RT quote date > latest historical quote date, and adding the missing RT quote to history to get the close for the 30th. However now I find that the percent change for June still does not match what Morningstar is reporting. Digging further, I ran a dividend report online and find that the June dividend of .142 ex on 06/22 has not been posted to Y history.
Then I looked at VBMFX, Vanguard Total Bond Market Index which pays a monthly dividend, and find that the dividend has not been posted since April. I checked some other OEFs and some are showing recent dividends and some are not.
I am running out of ideas to handle Y's screw-ups.
