Hi Randy:

Just a brief question re: array entered =smfGetYahooHistory($A30). I've been using the formula to extract OHLC, volume, dividends and splits for individual tickers.

When updating, all column headers continue to appear in the array:

Date Open High Low Close Volume Unadj Div Adj Split Adj Dividend Split

Using AAPL as an example, zeroing in on Jun 6 and Jun 9, 2014 (Apple did a 7/1 split at the time), in a file update done earlier today, it looks like OHL were adjusted for splits only, C was adjusted for splits and dividends and Unadj appears to show the actual closing value.

Updating the same file this evening, it looks like Close has been changed to adjust for splits only and no data appears in the Unadj column.

I checked for several other tickers (SPY, AQN.TO), looks like this same data thing. These changes have affected my data manipulation and charts, not a big deal as I can modify my formulas but a bit of a nuisance.

Is Yahoo still messing around with their data?

Thanks for your great work.

*sigh*

It looks they are back to carrying unadjusted O/H/L/C with an adjusted
close...so they dropped the unadjusted close field (using the close field
for it instead) and added an adjusted close field.

Well, it appears Yahoo has made another change. This one looks like a
positive change, so I decided to publish a new ZIP file.

I uploaded the 2017-07-12 *beta* version of the *ZIP *file to the top-level
page of the web site, and it is listed as part of the page contents. I
think the new norm will be to have both the latest official and beta
releases on the top-level page. That should prevent a few questions about
what is available. So the change log should contain all updates, up through
the latest beta release.

The latest update was to pick up Yahoo's changes to unadjusted close and
adjusted close and to adjust the unadjusted O/H/L for dividends. Note that
Yahoo's unadjusted data *is* adjusted for splits, just not for dividends.

What are some other historical quote services that can be paid for in case Yahoo continues to mess things up? I've looked at Morningstar and others, but they don't appear to have links to Excel for ad hoc queries of historical pricing - particularly adjusted for distributions and splits. Thanks

Thank Randy,
Alot to keep up with so appreciate the context and the clarity.

You'd mentioned this worked for you, so I assumed it was something I was doing incorrectly.

Just have to hold till Yahoo makes a call or we find an alternate source for historical data.

Thanks again!

Thank Randy,
I'm running the build downloaded from http://ogres-crypt.com/ SMF/RCH_Stock_Market_ Functions-2.1.2017.05.03.zip
and still see these calls going to ichart.finance.yahoo.com.

Is there something I'm missing in how I make the call, or update the XLA in Excel?
