Zacks for fine for me but it is very slow at times. Most of the time it is
really fast but occasionally it takes several seconds for just 2 elements.
Especially, the first call.

system

Is there an update to the SMF Addin to allow downloading of 848 Zacks rank?
I don't think it is the symbol problem. They symbols that I could get for
848 are now not possible to download.

Another ticker that seems to have the same problem is 13888 analyst price
target.

thanks

Randy,

Thanks a lot for so quickly updating the Zacks elements.

Could you please take a look at element 13873 (Zacks Recommendation). It is currently pulling the equivalent text for Zacks Rank (2=Buy/3=Hold etc) rather than the Zacks Recommendation (outperform/neutral/Underperfom) which is a longer term view than the Rank. I tried to look at the source code for the page and am worried that the Recommendation is somehow generated dynamically which makes it beyond my ability to figure out.

Thanks again for all your help.

Fred

Unfortunately, I can no longer define any element definitions based on
Zacks premium elements, as I no longer have a premium subscription. Is the
recommendation available on some other web page of theirs that is free? I
did find most of the others on one page or another.

how do i look up daily trading volumes, Or average monthly trading volumes for a given stock?

Check out the documentation for the RCHGetYahooQuotes() function. It has
data codes for the daily volume and the 3-month average volume.

Or, check out FinViz (see items on it in the LINKS area), which has daily
volume, average daily volume, and relative volume, all available on their
free screening page.

Thank you Randy. I'm looking for daily volume for each day over the past three years. Is that doable?

Take a look at the RCHGetYahooQuotes() function.

Hi,
I am looking for a template to download Options for Multiple Stocks.
Was wondering if someone has a sheet to download Options Premium price for
multiple stocks..

Thanks,
Sudhir

I think there are way too many permutations of strike prices, expiration
dates, puts vs calls, and uses of options, for a single template to be
useful for anything other than a specific purpose, much less doing one for
multiple stocks. Designing a template for multiple stocks where one stock
might have 2 strike prices and other dozens can leave a lot of open space
on a worksheet. Plus, the more web pages you access to get data, the slower
the template would be to calculate.

In any case, take a look at item 2.2 in the LINKS area of the group. It
discusses how to use some of the basic option functions to "roll your own".
They should be able to get you to something you can use.

Randy, I am finding several are returning me an 'error' message in all cases. This one is supposed to return eps 3 yr growth. Any idea why?

The M* web page it came from no longer exists. They've added it to a
dynamically generated web page, which means there is no data in the source
code of that web page to extract.

I've been suggesting people use this on a separate worksheet, and grab the
data from it:

=smfGetCSVFile("
http://financials.morningstar.com/ajax/exportKR2CSV.html?t=MMM")
