Hi Randy,

I can't see an issue flagged with =RCHGetYahooHistory but it seems to have stopped updating as of the 19th March.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Ahhh, actually, looking at:

http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=RRL.L

(FOR EXAMPLE)

It seems as though it's Yahoo that stopped updating on the 19th.

Damn, I hope they resume and it is a temp glitch.

Shaun

The error occurs as soon as you start Excel 2013.

I have tried exit, shutdown/restart, restart Excel... and in every case, the same error msg pops up.

I cannot create a new worksheet and use the add-in functions. Recalling the functions only gives the value "#NAME?".

Re-installing Office 2013 seemed to get rid of the error msg for now. Hoping it'll solve the problem.

I'm late to this topic but wanted to give some info I've found working with IBD. I believe you must be a member to access and the pdf's are password protected so they can NOT be converted to .xlsx or .docx using Adobe ExportPDF.

Here is where you can directly see many IBD files. Most are pdf's but the IBD 50 can be opened as.xlsx or .txt:
http://news.investors.com/otheribddata.aspx

Here is the direct link to the IBD 50 as .xlsx:
http://news.investors.com/StockResearch/ScreenCenter/ExportScreen.aspx?start=ibd

Here is the link to the printed book ($40) of all the 197 sectors and the stocks that make them up. I found this a valued resource but is only updated every 6 months:
http://www.investors.com/products/default.aspx?id=igts

Also there are several files in the local "meetup" sites (Google "ibd meetup sites" and you will find several cities that have chapters that have sessions you can attend) that can be easily worked with this great tool Randy has created.

I am just a member of IBD but found these sites and will shared them here.

Thanks again Randy for all the help you give us.
I know I for one really appreciate it.

Hey Randy:

This has been working great but since yesterday this:

=HYPERLINK("http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s="&$C2&"+Interactive#symbol=coo;range=6m;compare=;indicator=ema(20,100)+macd+rsi+volume;charttype=candlestick;crosshair=on;ohlcvalues=0;logscale=off;source=undefined",$C2&"")

is taking me here:

http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=OCN#symbol=ocn;range=1y;compare=;indicator=volume;charttype=area;crosshair=on;ohlcvalues=0;logscale=off;source=undefined;

It's the right chart, but none of the indicators.

Any ideas?

Randy, forget about it. I messed around with some firefox settings and now it's working again. Not sure what I did, but it works so it's all good. Have a great day.

Worked fine here...

Maybe a temporary glitch on Yahoo's part? I was actually surprised it
worked when you asked about it -- in the past, you could never get back to
the indicators with the URLs.

What is the most reliable element number to get the current P/E?
I've used #54 but I get an error for BP. Please lead me to a good number. Thanks, David

It works fine here:

=RCHGetElementNumber("BP",54)

...returns 11.6.

As for reliability, I have no comment. I've not done any kind of comparison.
