Randy, the past dividend element would be fine for those securities. Is there a list of Yahoo elements link that I might see for other items of possible interest?
thanks

Check out the XLS file distributed with the add-in. It contains a list of
all the defined elements for RCHGetElementNumber().

Shouldn't be a problem. Just use the functions that get you the data. In
general, it shouldn't matter if the data is coming from different sources.
However, I'd be cautious about combining similar types of data from
different source (e.g. financial statements data).

But you would need to grab stock prices from this page right: MSFT Microsoft Corp Stock Price History http://performance.morningstar.com/stock/performance-return.action?p=price_history_page&t=MSFT®ion=usa&culture=en-US

MSFT Microsoft Corp Stock Price History http://performance.morningstar.com/stock/performance-return.action?p=price_history_page&t=MSFT®ion=usa&culture=en-US Get stock price history data for MSFT Microsoft Corp including short and long-term pricing by day, month, and year.

View on performance.morningstar.com http://performance.morningstar.com/stock/performance-return.action?p=price_history_page&t=MSFT®ion=usa&culture=en-US
Preview by Yahoo

that was exactly my point. It seems difficult to combine, and i have all the financial things from MS, but historic prices from Yahoo, which makes its difficult since some tickers are different in between the pages.

Nope. You can use RCHGetYahooHistory() to get historical quotes from Yahoo,
and RCHGetElementNumber() or RCHGetTableCell(), or any other function, to
get data from MorningStar.

Although you are correct that ticker symbols can be an issue. But you can
use different ticker symbols for the different functions.

Hi there,
I am trying to pull down the following data in excell:

Shares Short -- Current Short Ratio Short % of Float Shares Short -- Prior
For some reason when I use the following formula it only returns "Error" I have tried several of the SMF links, even the outdated ones. Can you please tell me which formula to use and which RCH Stock Market link to use...

=RCHGetElementNumber(A2,986)

for 985, 986,987,988

Thanks,
Diana

I just tried those four element numbers with ticker symbol MMM and they
worked fine.

What ticker symbols are you trying them for?

Ok, I believe it is the version I was using... I am using Stock Market Functions add-in, Version 2.1.2015.07.08 (Z:\VISTA\SMF_Templates\9-21-15 SMF download; ; Local; 1)
now and seems to be working except for ticker GOV....

GOV doesn't have a Key Statistics web page on Yahoo, so it won't work...
