By "drop down box",
do you mean on a sheet or userform?

In a userform, I've used a change event to execute filters (or lookups, or...)
upon each keystroke.

In one panel, As I type, it looks up record values in an Oracle database.
If it finds a match, it updates radio buttons on the form and changes the Caption on the button.
You could do the same thing with filters.

however, I don't know if there is a "change" event for drop-downs on a worksheet.

Subject: [ExcelVBA] Drop Down question

Hello all,

Is there a way of having a user type in a drop down box and the values of the drop down filter as you type?

Thank You

Jim Wagner
