Randy,
I've forgotten, and can't find the setting for "always get new content" setting. I am using Firefox and I am overseas on a different computer than I usually use.

Has anything changed with Yahoo, or do I need to do anything to get it to retrieve option prices again ??

There's a pointer to a message that has the instructions in the LINKS area
of the group. It's one of the two items about smfForceRecalculation.
They are IE settings, unrelated to FireFox.

in a word YES. Check out any zacks stock quote http://www.zacks.com/stock/quote/LGF?q= http://www.zacks.com/stock/quote/LGF?q=lgfxxx and you'll notice a redesign and layout. Quick glance is a lot of info I liked to quickly find is now missing from the main quote page. I'll post again later if I can find new element paths for some key info.

They just change things, and they've both rearranged things on pages, and
moved items from one page to another.
I've pretty much got all the elements redefined and will be uploading the
new definitions shortly. There were three items I couldn't find now -- Rank
within Industry, Sales, and Net Income. If anyone sees them, let me know.
I'm also adding a few new elements, including beta and next earnings date.
Those are requested quite a bit.

Randy,
As always, you were right on the mark. The beta version is working to get the AdvFN information.
Thank you

The earnings.com http://earnings.com web site no longer exists, so all of those elements are obsolete. For a while, the data was showing up on another web site, but it appears to be gone now too.
MorningstarTR and YahoooPM elements only apply to mutual funds, although may work for some ETFs.
AdvFN has been an issue for the past few months because of changes they've been making. For a while there, even their web pages weren't working properly. There is a beta version of the add-in in the "Works in Progress" folder, with coding changes to account for the AdvFN changes. They work for me, and others, although a few people have noted they still have issues.
Note that AdvFN may change again in the near future. They've been promoting a completely new format. I'm not sure how the new web page design will fit into the old set of defined elements. I've run into this before, and it can be a nightmare. Some line items disappear, some new ones pop up, and some get renamed in ways that make it questionable whether they even mean the same thing.
And, yes, you do need to visit the MorningStar site before using elements from their website. They have a redirection that occurs on your first visit of the day, which they sometimes use to display advertising. Until a script in the HTML page runs to update the cookie to indicate that first visit has been done, the add-in will continue to error out because of their redirection (because the process I use only retrieves source code, it doesn't execute script code). A lot of Morningstar elements are no longer available, because they've been converting their web pages to a dynamic display of data. I'm considering a work-around -- see:
http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/smf_addin/conversations/messages/22956 http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/smf_addin/conversations/messages/22956
Some of the new elements have been defined. See the SMF-Template-Morningstar-Stock-Data.xls in the "Works in Progress" folder. But I have a long list of possible updates, and it's really not a top priority of mine because I have seen MorningStar making additional changes to those pages.
There's always the option of using other functions to get the data. In fact, that's how I currently define elements.
It's a constantly changing world. Sometime for the good, sometimes for the bad.

Zacks made a number of changes to their website this weekend. They not only rearranged which web pages some elements were on, but also changed the labeling on many elements. As a result, I had to redefine almost all Zacks elements.
I uploaded a new smf-elements-6.txt to the "Works in Progress" folder of the FILES area of the group. It contains all the new element definitions. To install the updates, replace the smf-elements-6.txt in your SMF add-in folder with this new file. Then, you'll either need to exit and restart EXCEL, or run the smfForceRecalculation macro in order for the add-in to load the new definitions.
I also uploaded a new version of the SMF-Template-Zacks-Data.xls workbook.
I had to obsolete four elements that I couldn't find on any of their web pages (if you see them, let me know), and added four new elements:
Status # Source Element Obsoleted 852 Zacks Rank Within Industry Obsoleted 13879 Zacks Sales Obsoleted 13880 Zacks Net Income Obsoleted 13890 Zacks Average Broker Recommendation -- Rank Within Industry Addition 13891 Zacks Beta Addition 13892 Zacks Forward P/E Addition 13893 Zacks Next Earnings Date Addition 13894 Zacks Earnings Expected Surprise Prediction

Thanks Randy you're amazing to react so swiftly to changes!
You asked about any other possible elements.
I like Zacks est long-term earnings growth:
=RCHGetTableCell("http://www.zacks.com/stock/research/~~~~~/company-reports",1,"estimated long-term eps growth rate")
I also like Zacks sector classifications.

Done. I just uploaded new copies of:
smf-elements-6.txt
SMF-Template-Zacks-Data.xls
...with these new elements:
*#* *Usage* *Source* *Element* 13895 S Zacks Estimated Long-Term Growth
Rate 13896 S Zacks Sector
I decided to pick up that growth rate from the quotes pages because it was
expressed as a percentage.
Thanks for the formulas. It made them easy to add.
The "Usage" column above is something new I'm adding to the element
definition workbook. It will have "S" for stocks, "E" for ETFs, and "F" for
mutual funds. So the above elements apply to stocks only. If the element
worked for all three types of equities, it would show "SEF".
