[ExcelVBA] Copy vs Cut with Visible Cells

 

I have applied a filter to one column in a multi-column sheet. I would like to move the rows that are displayed to a new sheet. I select the whole region, going down to the original last row, then Use Go To Special to select Visible Cells Only, but when I try to Cut the selection I get this error message:

The command you chose cannot be performed on multiple selections

I don't know what that means, but the surprising thing is that a Copy does work.

Doe anyone understand why a Cut would fail, but a Copy succeed?
I'm using Excel 2007.
