Dear Randy,The SMF add-in of Excel is a very good function for web data application especially in daily stock data monitoring. Thanks a lot for your effort!Right now Microsoft announced the Excel add-in is ready to use in Excel app in ipad. I would like to know if any schedule to make it avalible to use SMF add-in in ipad or already there?
Best Regards,Qinrong

Since I don't have an iPad, and have no intention of getting one, the
add-in won't be available for the iPad. In any case, the add-in is written
in VBA and uses some Windows load libraries, neither of which are available
for use on the iPad. At least from the documentation I've seen.

Hi Randy, Using a variation of the below formula, is it possible to get the percentage of the latest dividend increase?

Jose L. Jacob

Your parameter values are
not in the correct places -- try something like:

=SUM(INDEX(RCHGetYahooHistory(A3,,,,,,,"v",,0,,,4,2),,2))

...although that assumes
it pays a quarterly dividend. To truly get TTM, you should
specify a starting date and ending date. For example, if the
ending date of the 12-month period is in cell A4:

=SUM(INDEX(RCHGetYahooHistory(A3,YEAR(A4)-1,MONTH(A4),DAY(A4),YEAR(A4),MONTH(A4),DAY(A4),"v",,0,,,20,2),,2))

dividend for a stock, the dividend amount for the last 12

For the 50 days MA I use

=AVERAGE(RCHGetYahooHistory(A3,,,,,,,,"A",0,1,,50,1))

Similarly, For the dividends in the last 4 periods I am
trying

=SUM(RCHGetYahooHistory(A3,,,,,,,"v",0,1,,4,1))

but I get a result of 0.

Year over year:

=SUM(INDEX(RCHGetYahooHistory(A3,YEAR(A4)-1,MONTH(A4),DAY(A4),YEAR(A4),MONTH(A4),DAY(A4),"v",,0,,,20,2),,2))/SUM(INDEX(RCHGetYahooHistory(A3,YEAR(A4)-2,MONTH(A4),DAY(A4),YEAR(A4)-1,MONTH(A4),DAY(A4),"v",,0,,,20,2),,2))-1

Payment over payment:

=INDEX(RCHGetYahooHistory(A3,,,,,,,"v",,0,,,1,2),1,2)/INDEX(RCHGetYahooHistory(A3,,,,,,,"v",,0,,,2,2),2,2)-1

Note that the date-based formulas may have an issue. Suppose one year they
pay a quarterly dividend on May 31st and the next year they pay it on May
28th. If you look at the year from May 31 to May 31, you'll get five
quarterly payments. Which technically *is* what they paid in that year. :(

Hi,

I'm sorry but I don't see the analysts recommendation in the Morningstar template. Is there more than one? Thanks,

I don't know what you're looking at -- almost the entire template is
analyst-related data.

Randy
I'm having trouble pulling Predefined Scan Results from StockCharts. (http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SC.scan)

This worked till a couple of weeks ago
=IF(A1="y",RCHGetHTMLTable("http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SC.scan?s=TXAL%5bT.T_EQ_S%5d!%5bAS0,20,TV_GT_40000%5d!%5bWW_EQ_1%5d!%5bWW1_EQ_0%5d","Symbol",-1,"",1),"")

I array enter but it started returning empty cells.

Did StockCharts change to format of these pages or am I doing something else incorrect?

Thank You
H.J.

Looks like they changed the web page. Each column header is a table of its
own. Did you used to be able to resort the table based on the content of
the columns?

I get the table (without headers) if I change your final "1" parameter to a
"10". That may change from scan to scan, depending on the number of
columns. Another way to go:

=RCHGetHTMLTable("
http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SC.scan?s=TXAL%5bT.T_EQ_S%5d!%5bAS0,20,TV_GT_40000%5d!%5bWW_EQ_1%5d!%5bWW1_EQ_0%5d",">Symbol",-1,">Scan
Definition",-1)

I didn't resort it, I picked tickers off that I ran through other calculations...

This works for me!
