I can't look at anything because I don't see any symbol like that. However,
if you're getting "N/A" for fields, that's what Yahoo is sending as data.
The add-in wouldn't fill in such values. You'll either have to wait and see
if it's a temporary glitch or contact Yahoo and ask what is going on.

Hi guys

since the beginning of the week I can't get any information of bonds via Yahoo.

It worked fine till Friday. (For example : WKN: A1GRNK / ISIN: FR0011052117).

A1GRNK | Renault-Anleihe: 4.625% bis 25.05.2016 | finanzen.net

I found this page on the Italian Yahoo Finance web page (but it's not on
their U.S. web pages that I can see):

https://it.finance.yahoo.com/q?s=A1GRNK.SG

....but I don't see any download link on the web page. That's usually a
requirement in order for RCHGetYahooQuotes() to be able to grab any data.

Hello,
First, I would like to thank you for maintaining this phenomenal group, I am very happy to have stumbled upon it and will be sure to pass it on as I get more familiar with it.
I just joined your group and had a quick question that I didn't find answered in your Tips/ FAQ section.

I found this group while searching for a way to download stock information (P/E Ratios, ratings etc.) not for one stock, but for the entire NYSE. I am curious if your group has a posting or if you personally are familiar with a way to run all possible combinations of ticker numbers (from yahoo finance for example), pull their data, and organize it into an excel spreadsheet.
Below I have attached a website that that discusses the idea.
Thank you,

James

I used to download everything 30 years ago. It's a pain. You have to worry
about stock splits, dividends, spin-offs, mergers, ticker symbol changes,
adjustments to financial statements, etc. And for what purpose? As the
author of your cited website says in the comments, just getting the limited
data he did took "hours and hours and hours". And to have hundreds, even
thousands, of individuals utilizing the free data sources in such a manner?
Bah.

For screening, I prefer to use a maintained data source such as
Portfolio123.

For more detailed, more specific data, I prefer to grab it fresh from the
Internet, instead of a stale database I may have created last week or last
month, that is already out-of-date with bad ticker symbols and bad data.
Add to that the delay that Yahoo has on some of its data...

That may not help those that use foreign data, but Yahoo's ticker symbols
probably aren't consistent with data sources they'd need to go to get that
data anyway -- because Yahoo doesn't have detailed data on those companies
anyway.

Ah well...

And, by the way, you can download quite a bit of stock information on the
entire NYSE into a spreadsheet in just a few minutes by using Zacks stock
screener. Simply use "Exchange" as your selection criteria, then select all
the fields you want to see on the output, and export the results of the
screen.

As for pulling all ticker symbols from Yahoo, the only way I know is brute
force, web page by web page. Yuck.

What is the best way to pull data from FINRA-Trace? Here is a link to what I am looking to pull:

http://finra-markets.morningstar.com/BondCenter/BondTradeActivitySearchResult.jsp?ticker=C692564&startdate=06%2F23%2F2014&enddate=06%2F23%2F2015 http://finra-markets.morningstar.com/BondCenter/BondTradeActivitySearchResult.jsp?ticker=C692564&startdate=06%2F23%2F2014&enddate=06%2F23%2F2015

I would like to pull the entire table

Sorry, but I don't see a way using the add-in. The page is populated by
pulling data from a database as needed. The data isn't within the source
code of the web page itself.

How do I get this template to populate if my SMF Addin is located in a different location? I cant seem to figure this out!!

Just run the smfFixLinks macro that is within the add-in. I have it saved
to a button. I've found that to be more reliable (and quicker) than using
EXCEL's "Edit Links" process.

Basically, it just removes the location prefix that comes before the
function, using "Find and Replace All", so that it uses the one located in
the add-in that you have installed. Some of the older templates had the
worksheet protected, so you may need to remove that protection first.

I used to do the "Find and Replace All" manually, but automated it within
the macro to make it easier to do. Like I said, I just need to click a
button. :)

Thanks for the quick response! However, all the cells have { } around the text and is not even allowing me to change it manually... so the macro isnt working either... When I try to change the cell, it states: "you cannot change part of an array"

Im stumped.

The macro works for me on array-entered items. Are you sure the sheet is
unprotected? What does the formula in the cell look like?

You're right, though, you can't change an individual cell within an
array-entered range. You would need to highlight the entire range, then
edit the formula, then array-enter it again over the range. You can extend
the range when editing, but not make it smaller.

By a manual change, I'm referring to manually using the "Find and Replace
All" dialog (keyboard shortcut ctrl+h), not manually editing each
individual cell.

Here is what the formula looks like

{='C:\Program Files (x86)\SMF Add-In\RCH_Stock_Market_Functions.xla'!smfGetCSVFile(KRURL)}

And my SMF Add-in is located in C:\Program Files\SMF Add-In

The "Find and Replace All" worked though!!! Thanks!

As for the macro, I added it, but when I click on it, it does nothing.
