Missed one. Fixed, zipped, and re-published. Apols for that.

Thanks. Re downloaded and saw the PG sheets. Looks good by the way. However, still experiencing same issues: the spreadsheet opens in a protective mode, can't select from drop down menus and when I enable editing I get a message back that says the links are disabled and all data immediately turns to #name?

Pretty sure the problem is on my end. Downloaded a few other sheets with same problem. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks I'll check it out. The trouble occurs with the 3 or 4 spreadsheets I've downloaded so far. Not just yours. I'm sure there is a setting somewhere that I need to change.

No help. No matter what protection or security function I allow the document continues to open with a Security Warning: Automatic update of links has been disabled. Once the Enable Content button is selected the spreadsheet values are replaced with !name?

Randy, anyone:
I attempted to parse data out of this site for nutrition stats to no avail.
http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/vegetables-and-vegetable-products/2626/2 http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/vegetables-and-vegetable-products/2626/2
Are the tables generated from some other program and in the web page at all?
Thanks,
Kit

Sorry, but I don't see where the data is being loaded from...

Tried searching the Conversation archive in the SMF Yahoo group...but no luck. Does anyone know how to simply test to see if a ticker is a member of an index (preferably the S&P).

Maybe like:
=SMFsomefunction(Ticker, IndexName) (Boolean).
Thanks for any ideas on how to approach.

You could check for the index on the components web page on Yahoo:

http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ct?s=MMM

For example:

=IF(RCHGetTableCell("http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ct?s=MMM",0,"Indices that
include",">^DJI")="Error","No","Yes")

=IF(RCHGetTableCell("http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ct?s=MMM",0,"Indices that
include",">^GSPC")="Error","No","Yes")

Does anyone know if it's possible to pull data from Daily Finance website? For example, I want to pull symbol INCMX from:

http://www.dailyfinance.com/quote/NASDAQMUTFUND/fundx-flexible-income-fund/INCMX/historical-prices http://www.dailyfinance.com/quote/NASDAQMUTFUND/fundx-flexible-income-fund/INCMX/historical-prices?

Thanks in advance!

The historical data is within a frame, so you need to access that frame's
URL. For example:

=RCHGetHTMLTable("
http://www.motleyfool.idmanagedsolutions.com/stocks/historical_quotes.idms?START_DATE=2013-02-17&END_DATE=2015-02-17&CODE_MARKET=US,@US&SYMBOL_US=INCMX&BLOCKSIZE=500&OFFSET=0","Historical
Rating",-1,"",1)

I meant to say, from this link, would it be possible to pull say the "CLOSE" data given a specific date, ie. 1/2/2015?

Just do something like:

=RCHGetTableCell("
http://www.motleyfool.idmanagedsolutions.com/stocks/historical_quotes.idms?START_DATE=2015-01-01&END_DATE=2015-01-10&CODE_MARKET=US,@US&SYMBOL_US=INCMX&BLOCKSIZE=100&OFFSET=0
",4,"01/02/2015")

If I have a cell with the date 01/02/2015, how do I refer to that cell in your given formula without using the quotation?
