Hi all,

Not sure if anyone else has run into this...I recently got a new computer through work, reinstalled the add-in, opened a few worksheets and noticed that not all of the RCHElementNumber formulas were calculating properly. For example, I get a result for somethings like the Current P/E (Element # 13626), but I get errors for others, like ROIC (Element #7786).

I've spent a few hours looking through various settings and am stuck. Macros are enable, as is content, the addin is installed, etc. Has anyone run into this also that may be able to offer a quick fix? I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,
Brent

Do NOT enable macros!! That can expose you to any workbook with a macro.

Since it's and AdvFN element you're having problems with, I suspect you
need to change your IE settings to allow for cross domain access. It's one
of the AdvFN items on the "Tips and FAQs" web page:

Hi Randy,

Prompt as always - can't thank you enough. I did not have that setting Enabled and thought that would do the trick...but no such luck. My errors are not limited to the AdvFn definitions; I get an error even on the MSN Company Description (#1).

I get errors on:
7786, 7686, 6876, 5876, 5296 - AdvFn
1, 3, 4, 54 - MSN

I get successful values for:
849 - Zacks
3452, 3740 - Google
13626 - AdvFn

Scratching my head here. The formulas are all correct, so I don't understand what's going on. Anything else come to mind?

Thanks again,
Brent
P.S. I disabled macros as well based on your recommendation.

All MSN elements are now obsolete...

The other issue with AdvFN is if you need a regional prefix.
