I accidentally deleted a message asking how to get ASIN from ticker symbol. Here's one way:

=smfStrExtr(smfGetTagContent("http://www.quotenet.com/stock-price/MMM","a",-1,"ISIN:"),"ISIN: ","]")

Is there a way to paste special values in excel with the add in without having the add in auto populate?

I typically have files saved without tickers so the first run is smooth. The problem occurs during the second run after I paste a few different tickers.

At this point excel is already linked to the smf so once I paste, it auto populates. The problem I'm finding is many sources don't fill properly until I run the smf again. So I'm actually running it twice to get true accuracy.

I can avoid all of this if I could figure out a way to stop the auto populate after pasting. I created a macro to clear cell contents and break the rch link but it removes all the formulas in each cell.

Any thoughts?

Thanks Jason

I'm not sure exactly what your asking.

If you mean auto calculation, you can always turn it off.

The thing that bothers me is your comment, "many sources don't fill
properly..."...
